As of version 1.1.0 the translation assistant offers an option to add information about the Localized label to the Object ID. Instead of just the GUID you will now also now what and type and which the label is for (Entity, Attribute, Form element, View, etc).

As of version 1.1.2 there is a wizard available to perform all these steps, for info click here.

To edit the labels in Excel with a description of the label:

  1. Start the translation tool
  2. From the file menu select 'Connect' the select the server to retrieve the settings from. (If you have no servers defined you can use the Add option to define a new connection)
  3. From the file menu select 'Create Support File'. This does require SQL access to the CRM database.
  4. From the file menu select 'Open from server'
  5. When this is completed choose 'Save translation file With Names' from the file menu

The processing of the files will take serveral minutes so please be patient.

The file you save in step 5 is the crmtranslations.xml file. This is the same file you get from the server with the Two columns added to the Localized Labels tab. before importing this file into CRM you need to remove these columns (B and C).
